The Fylde 5th Team played the only ladies’ game this weekend with all other fixtures postponed due to frost affected pitches. It was an early 12noon start and the ladies had yet another changed squad due to non-availability or regular players. Another good blend of youth and experience secured a fine 3-0 win against Lancaster 4th Team. A debut from young Goalkeeper Dani Howarth and goals for youngsters Hannah Doyle, Beth Ridsdale and Katie Thompson (again!) ensured that the result was never under threat. A choice of youth and experience meant that Katherine Wholey and Charlotte Thompson shared the Player of the Match acclaims and the team were well supported by parents, coaches and other players who were not so lucky to be playing that day!
