Following the announcement from England Hockey (EH) on 7th August that we have moved to step 4, we can now get back to playing competitive hockey. To read the full EH announcement please click here.
Here is a summary of the key facts and next steps:
Before you can come back to play:
Participation Agreement: Everyone involved in hockey must sign England Hockey’s Participation Agreement where they agree to the terms and conditions and Code of Ethics and Behaviours. You can complete this form here. You must do this before your next visit to Fylde H.C.
Pre-attendance official symptoms check: All players, officials, volunteers and spectators must complete a self-assessment for any Covid-19- symptoms. No-one should leave home to participate in any form of hockey if they, or someone they live with, has any of the following: · A high temperature (above 37.8 oC); · A new, continuous cough; · A loss of, or change to, their sense of smell or taste. This check should be done before each hockey session.
Membership: We are now using the EH recommended app TEAMO for membership sign up as well as for recording attendance at all sessions at Mill Farm in line with the EH COVID guidelines. Please ensure you have completed your membership application here.
Playing and watching hockey
A maximum of 30 people are allowed in one group, but more than one group can use a pitch as long as social distancing can be maintained outside of training.
Any spectators at matches (including parents and carers) must be restricted to discrete six person gathering limits and spread out, in line with wider Government guidance.
During warmups and cool downs, participants should practice social distancing where possible. Water bottles or other refreshment containers should in no circumstances be shared.
Where possible, players must arrive changed and shower at home. Toilets will be open on site - please be mindful of the need for social distancing and recommended hygiene measures. Please respect and follow the guidance of Fylde Sports and Education Centre staff at all times.
